Janis is a Bern-based creative developer working across design and code.

I am a broadly curious person, always juggling a hundred and one projects — and beyond that, a thousand and one ideas I still want to make real. In recent years a lot of my free time has revolved around music and everything around it. Since 2020 I have been organising non-commercial events, curating the music there, playing myself, and along the way developing a strong interest in stage design and light design. I have gathered a lot of experience in that field.

I also like working with my hands. Two years ago I built a 25 m² treehouse — my biggest project so far, and it took almost two years. And when I am not somewhere in the world travelling, I race at breakneck speed on my self-built bike to the next project.

I am lucky to have a really great and wide social network in Bern, and I would generally describe myself as a very social and active person. I love spending time with good friends, experiencing things together, and tackling projects.
